I want to say a big thank you to Maasa Craig for working with me. This is somewhat personal, but might, at the very least, provide reassurance to someone.

I have had severe endometriosis since I was 13 and for years feared I might not be able to be a mama. Over the years, I have done a lot to treat it on my own. Diet (sugar, dairy and nightshades made it worse), castor oil packs, herbs (raspberry leaf, nettle, chasteberry, white willow), acupuncture, prayer, and recently, steams.

Well, Eli, my amazing proactive, reassuring, supportive husband found a technique called the Arvigo technique of Maya massage. And serendipitously, we then found Maasa. She had just trained in the technique and began practicing it in Nelson.

She worked her magic and gently tried to encourage my uterus to return to its natural position. I was pregnant one week later.

This feels like a miracle to me and as it sinks in, I just want to celebrate! I’m honoured and so excited that this little being wants us to be its parents. And I tear up when I think of how much encouragement I was given to stay hopeful that one day it could happen. Thank you so much. And thank you Maasa.
